Description
The CA835L1 Folding Rehabilitation Cane is a mobility aid that shifts weight from the legs to the upper body, when used correctly, helps redistribute weight from the lower leg that is weak or in pain, and improves the patient’s stability and balance by increasing the base of support. It is often used by people who cannot use their legs to maintain balance, for a variety of reasons, from short-term injuries and fractures to long-term disability.
Contraindications
Patients with balance and coordination disorders and intellectual disabilities should not be left unsupervised when using the device.
Precautions and warnings
- Before each use of the product, a visual inspection of all structural elements of the product should be performed. Do not use the cane if there is any visible or palpable damage, as this may result in an accident.
- Make sure the cane has its rubber tips properly attached. If they are loose or heavily worn, replace them with new ones. Additionally, check the tightness of the nut securing the cane.
Be especially careful when using on sloping roads. - The cane is a walking aid and should not be used for other purposes.
- The permissible load on the cane is 110 kg. Do not climb or place any load on the device for long periods of time.
